VINTAGE HANDY FREEZE PROCTOR-SILEX ELECTRIC ICE CREAM MAKER-COPPER COVER+BANDS - MODEL # 2234-C - COMPLETE, MADE IN THE U.S.A.
This vintage “Handy Freeze Electric Ice Cream Freezer” was made by the
Proctor-Silex Corp., Model # 2234-C. It comes complete with a sturdy tongue and groove fitted wooden outer bucket with matching copper banding and a domed copper cover on the motor. The interior has a heavy metal mixing drum, with a double paddle insert, cover and metal overflow spout with fitted cork plug. The copper covered motor and mount are anchored to corresponding handle mounts with easy to use knobbed set screws. The electrical cord is attached. The interior of the wooden bucket had been wax lined by the previous owner, to protect the wood, but from storage it has mostly fallen off.
Condition:  In overall very good vintage condition. The interior of the wooden bucket had been wax lined by the previous owner, to protect the wood, but from storage it has mostly fallen off. There is some minor scratching and corrosion on the copper motor cover, with some build up of grease on the underside of the motor and on top of the metal mixing drum canister. There is also some corrosion at the interior base of this metal mixing drum canister. Please see photographs.
