    (1) US ARMY Sterling Airborne Master full size Jump Wing Clutch back, wing is toning with bluish patina., 1E hallmark 5th SFG Vietnam &WWII Vet ..see my other listings for Whitten items.
    George L Whitten Army Serial Number., 31484111. Whitten enlisted late 1945 and was with 509th Inf ABn., other research indicates he was t Ft Bragg with the 782 Ordnance in 1949., later in the 50's with the 504th Inf Abn, and then selected for 5th Group Special Forces, serving in Vietnam during the period 1965., Detachment C-1 5th SFG., also with service in 1st SFG,  He may also have been in the 502nd Inf, but not clear..
