Brought to you by Hozer Video Games!Back in 1994, the homebrew scene on the Atari was just taking shape. Before one could even write a homebrew they needed a steep learning curve to understand how things worked. To make that easier, Ed Federmeyer wrote a utility that could easily generate any sound the Atari was capable of - in sterio!
Ed made a few of these and quickly decided assembling cartridges was not his thing, writing games was. He contacted me and the rest, as they say, is history. Years before anyone else Hozer Video was selling Edtris, Rescue, Gunfight, Valet, Pressure Gauge, and many others which can trace their humble origins back to the trail blazing Ed did and carts like SoundX.
SoundX was the FIRST "modern" homebrew cart, released post-Atari releases in 1994. Own one of your own with the same "Print Shop" icon'd label. There is even a serial number hidden in the middle of the dazzle demo, which Ed created to show off the many sprites and colors the Atari could produce.
