Antique German Silver 800-900 grade Worth every penny of 119 grams LOUIS KUPPENHEIM Kitten/Cat Compact Hard to find the Silver Kitten Compact. A delight for the cat lover .....a must have for the compact cat lover. Dates to the 1920's-30s Features: A raised figure of a fluffy kitten/cat with whiskers and all. Red ruby eyes. On the back side you have the back of the kitten. Notice the bow around the neck...and of course the tail. On the inside you have gold was interior.. The mirror snaps in and out nicely. It is missing one panel below the mirror. The panels are where made to pop in and out.. so it most likely the missing one was left out and got lost. On the opposite side you have a powder compact. This can come out as well. Below that are 2 small make-up holders. Some people think that they are coin holders. Approximate Measurements: Length 3", Length with Chain 8.25", Width 2" Weight: 119 Grams as shown in the last picture. No marker's mark was found..it was most likely on the missing panel. CONDITION: VERY GOOD THINGS TO POINT OUT: The one inside panel is missing. There are a few tiny dings around the sides of the compact. These are not bad at all. I never noticed them until I looked it over to right this ad. Silver is a soft metal and it is common to have a few dings here and there of something this old. Shipping is a little pricey due to the cost of insurance. Other items shown are not included unless specified.
