This is a rare and getting harder to find 1999 GMC Sierra regular cab 4x4 truck. This is the first year of the new body style. This truck has the larger
5.3-liter/270-horsepower V-8. This truck has the LS based engine and is known to be one of the most reliable engine GM has produced. The
all-new LS1-derived Vortec small-block designs with deep-skirt cast-iron cylinder blocks, six-bolt main bearings, new cranks, high-flow cylinder heads and intake manifolds, lighter, lower-friction reciprocating parts, higher-energy ignitions, and more precise fuel-injection systems. The new breed of V-8s are said to have longer life, lower emissions, greater smoothness and quiet, more power, and higher fuel efficiency. With them, the new trucks should be able to extend their cruising ranges nicely with a 26-gallon fuel tank under the short bed.
As far as the condition of this truck it speaks for itself. This truck has been a highway queen and has not seen much dirt, if any. It has a like new set of Dick Cepek Trail Country EXP 285/75r16 Tires. This truck runs fine and everything functions as it should. It has very minmal defects and is in great shape for the year. The bed liner is the old style plastic style. We are currently removing it and a new sprayed in liner will be installed in it. This is a southern truck and not from the coast. The frame and all the metal are all in solid non rusted condition.
It has a couple of minor blemishes which are understandable for its age. We will try to describe these to the best of our ability.
The driver seat has a couple of small holes that are half the size of a dime. The wiper blades are not completely black as some of the paint has worn off. Just put new arms on it, cheap fix. The head lights are a little hazey. The passenger side has a scratch down the side of it. It has been touched up with a color matched paint pen. On the front bumper at the tag location it also has a small dent. The paint has been touched up but the bumper still has the indention. The hood above the headlight on the passenger side is bent a little. It has cracked the paint in this location.
